Superior Position

Superior position in movies make them very entertaining.  The main genre that uses superior position is horror.  They are built off of superior position and it is what makes them very entertaining.  There is also superior position in real life.  An example of it in real life can be secrets. One person knows something and others don't.

Undeserved Misfortune

Movies really need undeserved misfortune as the viewers need to feel for a character.  Undeserved misfortune must happen for the audience to really connect with the characters.  Undeserved misfortune happens in real life a lot as well.  An example of that in real life is the situation going on in many poor countries.  Children, innocent children, are starving in other countries and they really don't deserve it.  They have a right to a great life and they don't have the same opportunities as others.  Undeserved misfortune can be key in an idea for a film.  An innocent character can be hit with a tragedy of paralysis and can suffer their whole life with it.  They really don't deserve it but it happens to them.

Conflict

As I have learned, conflict is ALWAYS needed in films.  If there is no conflict, the movie will be very boring.  Conflict is what tends to build up the movie to its final resolution, satisfying the viewers.  If it weren't for conflict, films wouldn't be films.  Conflict really is in everyone's real life.  Everybody has conflict in their life, even if it's not very serious.  There is conflict everyday really.  Whether it is internal or external from you getting in a fight to you thinking how you're going to solve a personal issue.  While we may not like it, conflict is in our everyday life.  An idea I have gotten for conflict in a film is possibly tragedy.  Death is always an issue and it also affects us in real life.  This allows for a film to really connect to real life.

My Film Job

I would love to be an actor in any movie.  I know I can play any role needed and I've always loved playing roles.  I have always been great at remembering lines from simply watching movies.  I sometimes even say them randomly when the lines are in my head.  I've always been interested in the movie and film business and of all the jobs in them, the acting seems like the most fun for me.  I know I can do a great job in acting and I hope I can be an actor, at least in the films we are going to make in class.  I feel I can do this job significantly better than any other and I feel I can excel at it.  I've acted in a video before with one of my friends last year and it was very fun.
