My Anti Drug

What tends to always get my mind off of things and what I feel my anti drug would be is playing video games.  I have played them all my life really and they are fun.  Not only are video games fun, but they are also a great way to just kind of get my mind off of things.  My mind wanders when I play and I truly get lost in the game, whichever game it is.  Playing games is very relaxing for the most part as one just sits down to play by themselves or with friends.  I honestly almost always feel better after an hour or two of playing during a bad time.  I feel this would be the best anti drug for me definitely.

What I Learned from An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth is a film I will probably never forget about.  It is very influential and it certainly got to me.  It made me see the world a lot differently.  I knew about global warming and knew it was harmful, but I never expected it to be anywhere as bad as I witnessed from the movie.  I thought it was a minor issue that could be controlled and that we wouldn't have to really worry about.  I thought I personally didn't have to worry about it because I don't live in the arctic.  I was very wrong as we will all be affected in the next few decades.  All the statistics that Al Gore shared prove that we will all be affected very soon.  The coast of Florida is still expected to be underwater in the next 80 years and that is a very scary thought to bear in mind.  It's also horrible that the big companies and the government tried to ignore and deny global warming.  To think that we could've started to prevent it years before we actually started paying attention to it.  It's just unfortunate that money controls the world and people prefer that over a healthy planet.  Things are changing for the better, luckily.  We must make sure we continue to try to deplete global warming, or we will pay the ultimate consequences in the end.
