Modern Times Review
Modern Times was a very entertaining film. Charlie Chaplin had everything to do with that. The film was funny and it was very connectable to many people at the time. It was during the Great Depression, or around that time, and he would really relate to it. He did mention how there wasn't much work and people had to steal to be able to eat. People steal food mainly for they are hungry and they just don't have the money. The main reason I really liked this film, though, was because of the comedy. It was a very funny film from machines that feed people to him singing in nonsense French. Overall the film had joy and sadness, and was entertaining with both. The audience can relate to it in so many different ways. This was really a great all around film, which is why it is very much worth watching more than once.

I like when you said, "...the film had joy and sadness, and was entertaining with both." Bingo. It was that magic combo that made Chaplin's best works stand out. Well said!
